Racing Against Leukemia - Take Two

A second look at RAL weekend from a different perspective. Have a story from RAL weekend that you want to share - email it to marketing@ner.org

Racing Against Leukemia weekend – the one weekend where, if you schedule things right, you could participate in all three of our programs’ activities: Club Racing, Solo (two days), DoubleCross, Rally, and RallyCross. Racing Against Leukemia Recap -

- by Doug Fisher

RAL/NER Charities Weekend as a huge success and was a great example of the generosity and enthusiasm of many NER members for our annual fundraising endeavor. The accounting of all monies raised is not totally finished, but it is clear that the combined (Solo, Club Racing, Rally/RallyX) funds raised will be over $17K this year, which trounces the $14K figure from last year.

Cone-a-thon - Solo Event #6 - (The only cone I wanted after this event had ice cream in it)

The theme of Solo Event #6 was ‘Hot’. As in hot drivers, hot tires, a hot course, and it was just plain HOT.

166 drivers (just 41 less than the National Tour) showed up for Cone-a-Thon, New England Region’s 6th point’s event of the year. They were treated to a course that would not have looked out of place at the National Tour, temps in the high 80’s that had many drivers scrambling for the watersprayers , and 5 sixty second runs that had the fast drivers at the top of second gear.
