Trailers should not need much service.  Repack the wheel bearings each year and adjust the brakes.  Make sure the tires are inflated.  Check the lights and wiring. 
I would strongly recommend an aluminum trailer if you havent already purchased one.

Basically, if you are not using it for commerce and are under 10,000# Gross weight, you are okay.
