yesterday I posted an item in the SOlo section regarding some wheels I had for sale. They might appeal to the solo crowd, and sice this board doesn't have all that much traffic, I figured I'd leave notice here and the classifieds.

well, I got an email telling me I had a response:.

A reply has been posted to a topic you are watching by dhcernese.

View the reply at: http://www.ner.org/forums/index.php?topic=98.new;topicseen#new

I clicked the link and got a "Topic not found" message.

Sooooo, I look and sure enough it's gone, and no trace either. So was it deleted? (As opposed to being moved, with a "moved" icon left? And why did I get an email about the response, but not the removal? Angry

Anyway, if you are dhcernese, I have the same post in the classified. Sorry to affront the mods...

The reply you got was Dan asking that it be removed, since we have a classifieds section specifically for buying and selling.  Everyone who logs in can see new topics, including in the classifieds area, so it probably wouldn't get much more traffic in here than in the section it belongs in.  Sorry for the confusion!

IMO, that's pretty draconian.

So one post about some Mazda Speed wheels is going to set the forum off its axis?   Wink

We have a classified section so that we might keep the ads in an easy to locate spot.
