I noticed during the 4/11 event that we seemed to be a little short on instructors for the large number of novices we had at the event (which seems like a great sign for the club itself, btw), and I found myself wondering....   what, if any, qualifications are required to instruct at our events?  I'm not going to turn anyone into a class champion or anything, but I'd certainly be willing to help a novice find their way around the course, start figuring out where they should be looking, etc...

Wasn't it a class championship and/or approval of the Chief of Instructors?

We were short on instructors because most of the people that usually instruct were busy with work assignments. It's what happens when we're short on workers, we have 35 workers per heat, and there are 40 novices.

You can't rationalize cars like these. They're not something you buy with your head - you buy them with your heart, because you love them. And who can explain love?

I do timing. And other stuff.

151 entrants and 4 heats make worker groups thin

most of the instructors on Sunday were instructing in addition to their work assignment
