Dave and I are going, and are super-psyched.  We'll be there for you to abuse our over-enthusiasm from Sept 10 through Sept 20.

When will Chris & Mike register?
I won't do it before 11am because that's when my calendar tells me to do it.

first solo nats, first pro finale for me... stick a big ole R next to my name and pray for the boy

how does one go about ordering tires to be brought to kansas on the hoosier truck.  Im gonna need alot of rubber between the pro, TnT and nats, so i plan to use the service often.

As far as leaving, its looking like tuesday night.  I will pull my famous drive till the morning routine, find a nice rest area, sleep till the sun starts to cook me in my drivers seat, drive till dinner, get a hotel wherever I end up and go from there.  Plan is to be at HPT around noon on the 11th.  Then I will be returning home (hopefully not empty handed) the evening of the 19th, unless work needs me that weekend, then ill be leaving the 17th.

Toughest part is Im gonna need 8 days off work and I have no vacation, and it will be right when our busy season starts.   Undecided

w3rd! Leaving Tuesday evening after work. Scott, want to caravan out with me? I don't do the "drive straight through 'till morning" bit, but I can usually get cheap hotel rooms along the way. My plan is to make it 250 miles or so on Tuesday, burn 1000 miles on Wednesday, then the final 250 on Thursday, rolling into to HPT around 11'ish on Thursday. Still need to take care of the lodging situation. Anybody got floor space for the Pro Finale?

Dave and I are leaving on Wednesday at noon, hopefully getting there Thursday night.  Most likely we'll miss practice starts, but who knows, we could potentially still get there in time Tongue

Do you get to sit in the wayback?

There's not a truck, there's a whole building at HPT.  Here's a response I got back from Jeff Speer @ Hoosier:

>>> Mike Shields <mshields@mac.com> 08/14/08 9:22 AM >>>
Hi Jeff,

I've got a few of questions for you.

1) Will Hoosier Tire MidWest will be at HPT on Thursday the 11th in
advance of the Pro Finale?
***HTMW-Plymouth will start their sales / mounting service on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7:00 am - 7:30 am.

2) If so can I pick up and get tires mounted for the Pro Solo Finale
at that time?
***Yes, you can plan on getting you tires mounted that day, 9/11.

3) What would I need to do to get tires I pre-order for Nationals/
ProFinale set up to come off of my contingency winning?

***Send me your tire size, quantity and where you earned your tires from and I can make sure the contingency tires will be at Topeka.  HTMW does charge a $15.00 per contingency tire handling fee as well as mounting / dismounting / balance fee. If you need to purchase more than the contingency tires earned, send me that quantity and I will make sure all of your requested tires will be ready for pickup.

Thanks,

-Mike
