Looking forward to the event. For anyone who cares the '87 Nissan 200sx that we were running had a fatal meltdown (broken timing belt + interference engine = bent valves) BUT we (hopefully) will be debuting our next Rally Rocket  Wink at NER @ NED.

I know, I know you probably can't wait and the suspense is going to drive you mad...............

Hint #1 - It still will be a stock RWD in the SR class (so all of you in the P2 or M2 don't have to worry  :Smiley)
Hint #2 - Official Pace Car of the Indianapolis 500 for 1984
Quick, go look it up!

Gotsta be a corvette. The plastic car was showcased at the march 83 Geneva auto show as a 1984 model. The was not a 1983 vette.

Yes, close to Chevette - same suspension, but and I quote: "The Fiero 2M4 (2-seat, Mid-engine, 4-cylinder) was on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 1984. The 1984 Fiero was the Official Pace Car of the Indianapolis 500 for 1984, beating out the new 1984 Corvette for the honor"

Another one of those fantastic plastic's,  I just might come down, and play.

Surface we will be running? all I have is the rear diff protected on my 2.5RS will the plastic bit in the front suffice?

hey thumper

the lot at NED is pretty car friendly.  if you've ever been to Haunted Acres at NED, its the parking lot they use for parking for that!

Just got the car running. I forgot what good old 1980's american cars were like Tongue Actually, it's easy to work on, lots of room. Just need to work some bugs out because it's been sitting so long, 3-4 years.

Anybody have any suggestions for a solid battery tie-down?
