Bummed I missed this. I was going to show up last minute, but I just finished installing Water/Meth, W/B, bypass valve, new ic pipes and a bunch of other stuff and had a couple of last minute snags the night before: Sounded like turbo killing itself under hard acceleration, turned out to be the alt pully/fan rubbing on IC, after fixing that pita I discovered a loose axle flange so had to remove the axle to tighten bolt. Just could not pull it off in time.
I ended up hand digging a RR tie foundation into hill side for wood shed all day instead. Torture, was thinking about you guys all day!

Nice job Justin!

A few pics you guys will appreciate, amazingly car is fine except for minor sheet metal damage. I got new sheet metal and car will be getting full paint/body, but before that I hope it see's a few more RX's with you maniacs.

And the following week, FTW!

Wow, glad you are alright, and amazing that the car only got minor damage!

So I don,t make to an event and there is no smack, then I have to wait forever to see the results to get my fix. Meatball rises to the top of the sauce with a win. When was the last time the 69 got a fourth? Look at the Audi class and a teenager trophies and the six star is 55 seconds back. Then we have the cone class where you have to hit as many as possible, how many was it any way? Must have been a record. LOR

Dude, there's got to be a better way to dig a foundation for a wood shed!

Finally got around to processing my GoPro videos from Bradford.  Yes, crossing hands continues to be an issue even after 9 years of autox.  Cheesy

Thanks Warren.  You can especially hear the engine and intake noise in the segment where the camera is mounted on the front driver fender pointed backwards.

That Neon is really cool, and with great sound to boot! I may end up having one myself for next year. I'll definitely be in PF, whether it's in a Neon or a Sentra SE-R.

Jacob - I saw your Facebook post on the ACR (because Chang commented), the more competitors in PF the merrier!  Between the current group getting faster and a couple more PFer's next year, I definitely need to upgrade to rally tyres.  SE-R is nice with the LSD, I occasionally see Quaifes for Neons and am tempted.

I'm really looking forward to it! AWD is really fun, but I want to start competing in hillclimbs as well (always aspiring for Stage Rally, but obviously not at all in the budget at this time) and decided that it would suit me best (for what I'm used to driving, and for my wallet) to run a FWD car again. Better MPG's on the street as well. At that point, I would even start doing some Solo events, given that I would have some sticky tires for NEHA events. That ACR I'm looking at would be excellent since it already has a bolt-in cage, but the full interior so it's legal in PF, and Halon fire-suppression to keep the hillclimb techs happy.

The R/T and ACR models are pretty neat. I didn't know anything about them until a few days ago and always dismissed them as being "BS trim levels", and then again I also didn't even know they made first-gen Neons with DOHC motors.

Hopefully next year I will not have a nearly silent stock-class car and therefore won't need music to make the videos interesting. Tongue

The music thing is something I've tried to make the video more interesting to people who have never heard of RallyCross before, and to some extent it has worked. Without it, and with my quiet cars, the video is really dry. From the standpoint of trying to promote the motorsport, it doesn't hurt to try something different!

Yes it does. If you use copyrighted music it is illegal. The scca is looking for video with out music. LOR

As far as the copyright thing goes, YouTube has a new policy now. Most record labels have agreed with YouTube on a new way to go about use of music. There was a period where any use of a copyrighted song would result in the video being muted (and that is the extent of copyright claims on YouTube anyway). As of the past year or two, you can use virtually any song without issue - and there is a cool feature where it will show the name of the song below the video, along with links to it on Amazon and iTunes.

Not to derail the thread, just wanted to clear the "illegal" thing up. I do understand the idea that motorsport videos shouldn't have music, but in this case it has definitely made it more appealing to people who don't know about RallyCross.
