And last I talked to Chris (like yesterday after I had posted), we were going to move up the time we'll leave to be more like 2pm from the Blandford service area. I thought Chris needed to do a full day of work. That'll get us to Toledo about midnight, or if something disastrous happens, we'll have time to recover and still get there by noon.

PJ, we should be passing you somewhere around Albany with that schedule. Tongue

Ugh. Just looked at the construction report for I-80. One section has 13 continuous miles of construction. Um, yeah, I'll be fogging for mosquitoes on the Pike I think.... That beats loosing my kidney's in PA!

It'll depend on if we leave from New Haven or Middletown, but you might end up leaving before us with that schedule.

The construction report looks pretty bad for I-80, but I-90 is an hour north of me.  Still debating on whether or not it's worth it to add extra mileage to the trip.

The construction report is always bad for I-80. You also have the added challenge of trying to get through the NY metro area on a weekday afternoon if you go down I-95 to I-80.

To take 80, I'd go 90 > 84 > 80. Just have to deal with CT and NJ at that point really...

BTW, I have a room at the Courtyard in Syracuse for Thursday night. Planning on making it there by 11'ish or so. There is floor space available for anyone who wants to get some shut eye and resume traveling the next morning.

OMG dude!!  You're missing out on all the fun that a 10 hour drive can be!!

Everyone settles for 3 - 6 minutes of driving at an autocross.  We get up to 200x that amount just driving to Pros!!

Bah, 741 miles door to door, 12hrs according to map quest. We stopped 4 times, twice for food, both of those stops for over 30 minutes. Left at 11:15am, arrived at 11:15pm. ~62mph average speed, including stops. :-) wheeeeee!!!!!!!!

ps. had some mar00n in an Odyssey try to block me from changing lanes after he was pacing me for 5 miles and I was catching up to an 18-wheeler. For a car that's down on power, passing in 5th gear was a snap! Or maybe he lifted because of the oil cloud....
