They went back in the way they came out.  I need to give the whole front end a good once over.  Maybe even take it someone who actually has a clue....

That'll certainly be one of the places to check.  Just don't know when I'm going to be able to get underneath is again.  Out of town more than not this month.....

And here's some of the pics and story behind my eventful weekend at the Okemo Hillclimb...would have been FAARRR less costly to have gone to RAL and deal with the rocks at Belmont!!

Here is my advice take it or leave it wont hurt my feeling either way dan. For the couple 10ths of a second cutting a corner here and there during a stage rally or hill climb is it worth the risk of having something like what you experience at okemo happen? Or even worse damage? I am more worried about finishing events at this point in my career and never cut any corners. I may snug the inside but haven't put a wheel off the road once and it has done me plenty of good! worry about finishing and you will succeed ...

Absolutely Jamie...I agree 100%.  Like I said in some of my posts and to people at the event, it was all driver error and I was a victim of my own stupidity with my head firmly up my keister.  It was a dumb decision and not worth the risk in any way shape or form.  Its all a learning experience for me as that was only my second event driving at unlimited speeds.  There is enough risk involved in losing control, etc. when ON the roads in hill climb and rally, let alone going OFF the roads...A similar mistake will not happen again and I'm very lucky it wasn't much worse that it was.

Not much talk on the forums so let me start some new activity(hopefully).

So Scott has been busy working on the Subaru of Keene/Go Fast! sponsored Impreza this week. Starting off with making a Rear diff cover then graduating up to more serious stuff on front end. After turning my skid plate into a taco at Belmont Scott is doing some precautionary work to keep it from happening again. Welding in a new bottom cross member and making the skid plate now mount in three spots up front should help.

Other then that i don't no what else he has been doing to my car because i have been very busy at nights with automotive classes. And of course to keep me busy during the day im now a part time Mechanic at a local shop:D. Fun Times!

Hope all is well with everyone after the hurricane!

Hi All,
Well I've been missing for a bit, but since here is the spot for updates, I'll throw one in there.
I've been missing trying to get a finish in a bloody rally for a while now...

August's attempt ended like the March attempt with a busted driveshaft after just three miles this time!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THeWvVQGVto

Not broke enough after that, and will the need for speed still not sated, I borrowed a car in a last attempt to finish a rally in 2011 last weekend, that had a more robust transmission, and deceided to ease off a bit on the old right foot.
And thankfully, we made it to the finish, despite breaking a wheel on a bolder on the second last stage, and almost ending up in a wall at speed at another point.

The poor subaru has been neglected and needs a few parts to get back to health, but hopefully I can make it to RABT for a lash on the dirt. We can worry about the parts it needs some other time.
This rally thing is an awful addiction.....

Good to hear from you Canny.  Looks like you have managed to fit in a little bit of good rally time and got a couple nice photos there too.

I'd be happy to lend you my non studded nokians cliffy, but they are well used and 225/45's R17's so I am not sure they'd fit you.

Don't know if you guys know Vincente Frontinan, but he was trying to fix the subaru's brakes recently as they were making crazy noises and got a call from him:

"Mikal, I no-no what you are doin with dat subaru, but I must have pulled 50 lbs of sheet from underneet it"

Thats's Rallycross folks.................
