Yes, camping is allowed in the infield Friday night.

I plan to attend Sunday's solo event, but I would like to arrive on Saturday around noon-early afternoon, and watch some of the racing Saturday, and camp in the infield. If I am on the entry list for Sunday, is there any fee for doing this? Is there a specific time I should show up to get in to the site?

Thanks for any info.

You *SHOULD* be able to pay the $5 Solo fee, since you're a Solo Competitor, but I'm not entirely sure if we'll have people at the gate to sign Solo waivers all day.  If I can get ahold of a more firm schedule for gate duty folks, we can post it here.

If you come in the main gate (and you will come in the main gate), you'll go down the hill, take a left through the (water-free) tunnels under turn 1-2, and you'll emerge on the other side in the infield.  Solo tent camping is usually on the right-hand side, between turns 2 and 3 (closer to 3)
