Registered.  I'm committed now.  Grin

Anything I need besides a helmet?

Tim.

On the topic of helmets, it's handy to have one yourself but there are loaners available at the event. Other than that, unless anyone else has anything to add I think you're good!

I need to speak to whoever went to the horse farm and spoke to the landowner today. Please call or email me ASAP. Thanks.

Bad news!

Due to some issues with the site, we've made the hard decision to pull the plug on the event. It wouldn't be up to our standards and the landowner and I agreed that it was best to pull the plug now rather than put on a poor event.

I am scrambling to find a replacement site for our October event. In the meanwhile, I ask you all to sit tight. I have suspended registration on Motorsportsreg. If we are unable to reschedule or you can't make it to the replacement event, we will issue credits or refunds. I don't want anyone to think that we're going to hold onto their money and not have an event.

No worries, do your best to find another site, but it's better to have another off-month than have a site even harder on the cars than Belmont! Thanks for all the effort you put into this whole program.

I was looking forward to this too.  I think I'll be hitting the PSCC one in NY on the 23rd.

Went to the BIG E in Springfield, MA this past weekend, they have a HUGE parking lot that would be awesome for Rally-X, very level, very few rocks at all, from what i saw (google mapped below). They use this venue only a few times a year, so they might be open to having us come in.  Its also in the center of NE so it would be an easy event for everyone to get to... Chris and company id def consider this place if not for this October but maybe for something else in the 2012 schedule

I wouldnt be able to make an october event, im peglegging in the arrow again after the July PSCCNY RX Cry Cry Cry

I thought i found an excellent site in VT at Devils Bowl race way, huge field adjacent to track. Sounded like a go then heard nothing, turns out place is for sale and no more events to be scheduled.

I am keeping in touch with them though, would be a great site.

How about Bradford? have we (once again) worn out our welcome?

Bondo, that sounds like a good lot, have you made any progress?

James, I had thought about that lot before as well, which is just used for extra parking space, but never looked into it.  If my calculations are right, using bing maps with the scale, that lot is about 10-12 acres to the right of the gravel driveway.  Then there is the space to the left of the driveway as well, which could be parking or maybe more course area.

The Big-E would require probably about 6 months of planninng and meetings.  I looked into it a few years ago, visited and met with a rep.  It will include meetings with the town of Springfield, state racing licensing, and worst of all, probably more money than we can afford.  If anyone local wants to open the can of worms, I can provide support from afar.  The course would have to be laid carefully, the area I think you're talking about has alternting raised and lowered rows to aid in parking for the big events.

Credits in Motorsportreg have been issued to all who preregistered for RaBT.
If there are any problems with this, please email or PM me directly and we'll get you a check for the amount. Due to the fee structure that we pay for each online payment, the credits are the preferred method and most of the entrants are regulars anyway.
