Wonder Boy,,,Like the idea,,pearsonally, I would like to try some front wheel car seat time.
need more specifics on how event would be formatted,,,
Anyone remember my All swap idea ??  I'll but the Rue up, Any stock all wheel competitor is welcome to swap his or her car with me.
this is good at any NER regional event,,number of runs?? depending on fun factor. Think it would be a good tool to improve our regions driving skills overall.  If you have different class vehicle,,?,,maybe interested in competeing in 2 classes,, if possible.
The protacol on this is a little ? shakey,,,?? Would love a crack in LOR's hot rod.

Will there be a champions run off in Stafford,??? I was looking forward to that at Wolf Chase.,
I know we were running late there.....

Was hopeing to put Warren in his place,,,,, Wink    Just kidding Warren, You proved yourself in OK.,,Don't know WHAT I could do in the Neon,???
I know Hal is one fast front wheel pilot,,,,and very hard to beat.....

My two cents,,,,See Ya All in Stafford,

Cheers Clifton K.

Hey Cliff you're totally welcome to take my 2.2L Impreza around if you'd like! You could see whether my adjustable shocks are really worth the bump into prepared class. It's pretty low on power though... oh well, it makes you learn!

What are the requirements for helmets? I completely forgot since last year and the year before when I rallycrossed a few times. Also I plan on having someone ride with me, but not touch the wheel. Will all the paper work still be there to fill out for the both of us? It's going to be my first event of the year  Grin

2012 SCCA RallyCross Rules, helmet requirements:
Quote
7. Update helmet regulations:
6.3.P. Snell 1995 (SA95, M95, or K98) or newer labeled helmets are approved for use. This is a minimum standards for use in RallyCross, other approved helmets are:
1. British Standards: BS 6658-85 type A/FR, including all amendments.
2. SFI Foundation, Inc; SFI Spec 31.1

All helmets meeting the latest or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards (SA2010, SAH2010, SA2005, SA2000, M2010, M2005, M2000, K2010, K2005, K98), SFI standards 31.1, 41.1, 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.2A or British spec BS6658-85 type A/FR are acceptable.
as covered additionally by NER's Supplemental RallyCross Regulations:
Quote
[6.1.1 ...]Proof of this shall be the sticker inside the helmet.
6.1.2   An annual sticker may be issued at any time during the season for a helmet.
6.1.3   A helmet must not have cracks, dents, or chips that would jeopardize
    its performance.

and passenger requirements:
Quote
5.2C One (1) passenger is allowed to ride in an approved seat located in the forwardmost occupant area of a vehicle that has passed tech inspection (6.3A-N) and is registered for competition on that day. The passenger must be no younger than twelve (12) years of age and has met all liability waiver requirements outlined below. The passenger must be wearing a helmet that fits correctly and meets the DOT/Snell requirements for competition use as recognized by the current SCCA RallyCross rules. Safety restraints/seat belts must be in proper working condition and adjusted to fit the passenger (6.3H - Seat lap belts are required in all cars. Installation of shoulder and lap belts is strongly recommended. Seat/shoulder belts must be properly installed with attaching hardware secure and tight. Competitors are required to wear seat belts when driving in competition. Additional belts must be installed per the manufacturer’s recommendations.).
Participant waivers:
The individual (parent/guardian, as appropriate) has completed and signed the required participant waiver(s). In general, a passenger should be either a student riding with an instructor or an instructor riding with a student during an instructional run. However, it should also be noted that some Regions allow passengers in order to acquaint newcomers with the sport. As long as the passenger meets all of the above requirements, an individual would be allowed at Regional events where a passenger is permitted. Passengers are not allowed during competition runs in Divisional or National Events.

We're fortunate as a region to have a few "loaner helmets" that can be borrowed for a run (though not the whole day). Bring your own headsock or balaclava if you wish.

I've had to borrow helmets in the past. Now it's time to check mine! Thank you for the info.

The Hampton Inn in Littleton is where Team O'Neil recommends people stay when they go for one of the classes.  There is also the Thayer's Inn if you're into old Inns and B&Bs.  It's the first Inn with indoor plumbing, but it's a rickety old place.  I stayed there during a class at Team O because I dig that kind of atmosphere.

I went to the Team Oneil website and could not find an address or directions.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  I imagine Dalton is not that big, but I would rather just go straight there instead of driving all around Dalton.  Thanks.

I already reg'd, but if I can't make it on Sunday what is the refund/credit policy? Can I get a credit for future NER events? or refund?

Just curious,

Thanks,

Mark

Due to the fees that we pay to process payments online, you can get a full credit to a future NER RX or you can get a refund minus $5.

OK, thats totally fair. I'd probably opt for the credit though anyway.

I plan on going, unless something happens on Saturday which will prevent me from doing so.

Nice job in the IX Chris, looks like you are off to a good start this year, I'm rootin for ya!

So close! I can't wait for this sunday, I'm getting the car all ready to go. Hows the surface, is it mostly icy? or is there a decent amount of snow on top of the ice?

I doubt there is a decent amount of snow anywhere in New England. Plan on ice with a little snow and maybe some gravel with a little snow where it's been sunny this week. Dress warm, it's going to be chilly Sunday!

Yeah it's been a sad winter this year, the only fun in my car I get other then rallx is on the lakes but thats even poor too. I'll be bringing tons of layers, and a portable heater for the shelter there if there isn't a wood stove or other source of heat there.
