Ok Boys and Girls,, After the Mudd bath in Epping,I for one am realy looking forward to the firmer footing found @ Rochester. Typicaly this is one of my favorite events in new England. The venue grip level is usualy more consistant and fast.Although it can get ruff, the track degradation keeps the competition closer through out the run groups,(may be even adventageous not to run first in group).
Seems the Rue enjoys being pushed hard here,,,If her driver is "on" the Pick ups don't stand a chance !!     Grin
Predictions Huh??  in SA.   Subaru,Subaru,Toyota,Chevy  ?

Mr.Caswell,  Congrats at Slip n Slide,,,,? And thanxs for towing people out,,,,but don't get to used to the top spot,,,This IS after all Rue's rightful domain !!!!!

Smack indeed !

Best of luck,  see ya all in Rochester,   Clifton K.

PS. Would love to see a smilin Irish driver attending, ?

I've never raced before, but my friend and I are interested in taking part.  Just wondering how harsh the track gets, because he drives a Subaru which should have no problem, but I have a VW on relatively stiff suspension probably more suited to pavement.  Also, do you guys have any loaner helmets?

While there is never a guarantee at how rough the track will get, Rochester is typically not too bad on the cars. Stiff suspension shouldn't have too many issues, it's more about your ride height than anything else. Is it lowered?

As mentioned in the helmet question thread, we do indeed have loaner helmets available at every event. There are only three to go around, so you need to grab one just before a run, and bring it back after the run (before or just after heading back to grid) to make sure the helmets get to everyone who needs one.

Yeah, it's lowered about 2".  Not slammed, but definitely not stock.  Out of curiosity, how many runs does one tend to do in an afternoon?

How many runs really depends on the conditions and how smoothly everything is running. We have runs in the morning and in the afternoon - racing typically happens 9-12 and then 1-4. There are two run groups, dividing up all the classes. Let's say you're in run group one - after the driver's meeting, you get ready to race and find your grid spot. On a typical day, you will normally be able to get three to four runs in the morning, and likewise in the afternoon. After your runs in the morning, you will go out and work the course with the rest of run group one (or you can volunteer to help work timing, or help with other duties), and run group two will be racing. The more smoothly everything goes, the more runs and seat time we all get!

Feel free to PM me with any questions you have!

New DMACK's are mounted and ready to help me kick a certain BMW driver out of first! I have always shined at this event, lets see how this year goes. Seems weather finally letting things dry up but i may bring the "Mudders" just in case, pending if i get enough time to make them. hehe.

if nothing else pics are always good from this site!

Looking forward to this one. Had a blast here last year. It might be a bit lonely though, I see that the Allen mobile is running MF.

I agree, Rochester is still my favorite site that we have run since I started.

Surprised to see that Chris Allen is indeed running in MF! I am interested to see what he's done with the GTI!

Wow, interested about Chris' registration choice. Matt's still running away in SF, so I may need to find an opponent!
