Anybody pick up a new ride over the winter? What are you driving for 2012, and what class?

I'll be bumming rides off of Grant and PJ (and Marc, and Nick, and Jeff and...) and driving my ITR in DS for 2012. Can I pull off a "Brian Levesque" and drive a different car at every event this season?

My national ride is all but certainly going to be in Mike Shield's old car, co-driving with Chris Dressler.

I bought a new WRX, but I don't anticipate autoxing it more than a couple times (and not with NER anyways).

I'll be driving my MR2 in some combination of ES, STS, and RTR.

I'm also driving Don's car at the MD Pro...at a minimum... Grin

I'll be in DS in the G35.

Locally, I'll be in Baby.

You can't rationalize cars like these. They're not something you buy with your head - you buy them with your heart, because you love them. And who can explain love?

Still in the lotus,  with just a U-joint replacement, and probably more negative camber if I can get the bolts for the camber plates to turn before they strip... This year is about seat time and optimizing the existing suspension setup.

I considered posting my Co-drive thread again, but it seems like my ride is a bit more costly than most people are interested in, If anyone is super interested in co-driving let me know, but it's got to cover the wear/tear costs upfront so that there's no drama around people quitting the co-drive just before I need to do brakes or tires. PM me for more details about costs than you really wanted Smiley.

Why not run the G35 regionally too in RTR?

Miata's finally running and on 2812's with stiff springs. I'll be in CSP, although probably on street tires for the first couple of events unless I can convince someone else to transport my tires.

I didn't think 315/30R18 Hoosier A6's are allowed in RTR?
Local = FCSCC

The G35 is now sitting on stock springs and a solid 36mm front swaybar.  Testing feasibility of running 315's at the end of the month, so it'll be those or the 285's I used to run.  Wiley, Todd, and Jenna will be piloting it at NER and National events.

Dave and I are in Panda again, with more power and less PAX Smiley

Sandi and I will be driving my STi still.  This time with a proper suspension (that doesn't have leaky/blown struts) and fresh tires so it will be like driving a new car! It's a shame we got bumped to ASP and have lost much of the competition I so thoroughly enjoyed last year, though maybe we will see some newcomers to the class.

Sandi may also be debuting her new DD for an event or two...   Grin

YIPPY - With Ohlins, actual new (sticker) tires for a change on SSR's, and some fancy electronics to point out all of our mistakes!

I'll be driving my new WRX on 'Road Tires' (265 *Specs) in the newly formed classes.  I should also have a regular co-driver that is new to NER this year.

I've got some off the shelf Koni's on the car and I'm going to play around with the new [stock] rear swaybar allowance.  The car felt very loose in sweepers last year (on OE tires), so I'm not convinced the rear bar is going to be the ticket for my car.

Can't wait for the season to start  Cool

DS or RTF I can't decide if I should forego the race tires and just run the Mini in the new road tire class. hhhmmmm
