Agreed, the event was a lot of fun, I'm glad we made it. We started right at the end of the registration time and didn't end up having enough time to make it to the western points, so we missed the Falmouth, Marston Mills, and Craigsville Beach ones right off the bat.
The Doane Road clue did take us a while to find. The Doane Rock was easy to find, but the clue was referencing a separate memorial to the Doane family homestead in the woods nearby. There was a little sign near the rock that said "<- Rock , Memorial ->". The path led much deeper into the woods than I would have guessed, but sure enough, there was a small plaque along the path just as the clue suggested.
I missed one on Route 6A as well, the one about a building originally built as a ____ in the 1800s. I couldn't figure out which intersection we were supposed to be looking at, and gave up after driving back and forth a few times.
The Dennis Beach clue was challenging as well, it was one of our first stops in the morning and we found nothing, but came back at the end of the day to look one more time. Having remembered that the Mayo beach clue was not at the first parking lot, but further down, we drove all the way down to the end of the parking lot and sure enough, one of the answers was on a bench there. I didn't manage to find the answer to the second part. I'm sure it had to be around there but we were fighting the clock at that point and rushed to get back to the golf course by 6pm.
The last one that threw us off was the ____ Harvey's ____ clue. We found the street called "Uncle Harvey's Way," but couldn't find the sentence in the second part. Checked it out on our way up (Down cape, I should say?

) to Wellfleet and again on the way back. We were still talking about not being able to find this when we got home, so we Googled the area and it turns out the clue was referencing "Uncle Harvey's Pond" right next to that intersection, and the quote in the clue is word for word on the web, about Cape Cod forests being threatened by invasive species.
It was a fun event though. Next year we'll make sure to get started earlier and hopefully do better. If we had started at 7:30 instead of 9:30 I'm sure we would have been able to make it to Falmouth and back.
