Awesome job getting these out, especially with a high cone count.

Out of 900+ runs there were 488 cones. That means our workers were kicking but on course keeping things in check.

171 runs with 1 cone
77 with 2 cones
20 with 3 cones
18 with 4 cones
4 with 6 cones
1 with 7 cones - OK who's the champion? Hint, it doesn't have fenders!

Thanks everyone. Great event.

I think perhaps you are mixing up family members...

You're lucky, you get to have fun watching the fast guys when you're on course! Smiley

I'm not sure "lucky" is the word that comes to mind when Pro class comes through and knocks down half the course!

BTW, nice driving Nick! Straight timing Grant is no easy feat even with 400hp on tap, getting it done with 240hp and 1.3 torque just makes it all the more impressive. Now knock it off!  Grin

Haha!  Hey now, I'll gladly shag cones if it means getting to watch the great Nate Whipple rip is his ITR on to the taxi way! Smiley

Thanks for the compliment homie.  This is the 2nd Time I have raw timed super stock (Did it in Delaware last year, remember when you were screaming at me? hahaha Smiley )

I knew it would be possible with a Devens course; even the course we ran which did have a couple of big acceleration zones.  The CR is a monster!  I knew the low 54 was possible after the 54.8 came in the morning.  After 6 runs of heat, and fixing a mistake I did on the 54.5+3, I knew the time was there!  I nailed the final chicago box, and actually shifted to 3rd BEFORE the final left right transition (And I was just about to go off the limiter in 2nd).  I hadn't done that on any other run.  Last left- right complex flat-out in 3rd through the finish.  I was pumped coming through the finish! 54.177 on the post-it note and that was good for a scream!

Props to Grant as well, driving his butt off on the new setup.  That man is going to be scary once he gets it dialed in!

Btw, awesome course design Nate.  I tend to love just about every course you make Smiley  The Panda boys are good too Wink

Fantastic driving, Nick Smiley When I saw you on the reg list, I knew you would be the one to beat.

Unfortunately I was driving like poop, so couldn't give you much of a challenge. For the record, Nate, Nick only beat my clean runs, I was quicker on the one run I didn't completely do stuff wrong in. The course itself looked like a good one, but my brain was failing to keep up with the car after sun-frying the previous day at the Miata club. In the afternoon I found 3 creative new ways to completely ruin the finish after the chicago box, including having to take to the crappy surface to the left of the finish lights to avoid spinning and destroying stuff. But even if I did an optimal perfect run, according to the splits from my video, I think Nick would still have me. I'm pretty sure Nick has alien technology installed in both his car and his brain! Eric too. He did his run on no-tread hoosiers with no sleep and a hangover.

Somehow whenever I switch new Hoosiers on the car I actually really don't like them. Way too much slip angle, I spend the whole run overshooting the slip peak. Maybe i should just shave my hoosiers. But that's why I put the new shoes on an event before Divs, so I have a chance to get used to the driving style before it matters.
