Hey Everyone,

I am currently a pretty active member in the Las Vegas Region, and perhaps might have even ran into a few of you at the national convention the last couple of years (I am the younger big guy, if we talked cars I drive an STS Miata, and if we talked region stuff/leadership I somewhat was supporting rally).

I was up in Rhode Island for a job interview 2 weeks ago and figured before they make me an offer if I got the job I should check to make sure of something very important about this potential move: what's NER like!

Mainly I just want to get an idea for technical stuff like Supplemental Solo Regulations for the region and Permanent Number policy (trying to decide if I should grab some new magnets now or wait until I hear about the job).

Do you guys have any documentation on regional sup regs or that sort of thing? I tried browsing the site but couldn't hammer it down so I figured I would just ask.

Thanks!

I honestly cant think of any supplementals besides the noise 90db @75ft for devens and I can never remember the NHMS one besides that its at 50 ft. And no shifter carts at devens. I think thats the extent. And someone correct me if I'm wrong but numbers are 1st come 1st serve and each class has its own numbers, like there can be a 63 STR and a 63 STS. And our events are listed through motorsports reg.

I run registration and did a quick check. These are the numbers regularly used in STS in our region:

 22 122 69 169 68 168 27 127 16 61

Even though we aren't set up with reserved numbers , we all respect the membership numbers in use, so feel free to pick something besides these.

Sound rules are no problem for me for me and sound about the same as silverton / fastlap events. And based on what I've read on Paul's link most of the other region-specific stuff is either the same, standard solo rules, or doesn't really change anything about my style of participation. So great stuff and thank you Leafy and Paul.

Barb, that makes sense. If you restrict duplicate numbers only to the classes then I can easily see how there would be no need for assigned numbers. Since it looks like 75sts is open, I think I might go do some searching and replace that lost 5 from a couple of events ago ha ha ha.

Thanks everyone for the quick and helpful responses! If I am lucky I'll see you all for next season.

As a newbie to our web site, I'd share this experience I have often:  if you click on something it occasionally times-out and dumps you to our home page.  Just try again  Wink
