I don't think the rules allow participants to use a different car for the rallyx and autox.

You may be allowed to change tires, iirc.

Edit: Nevermind, supplemental rules says it legal.  Don't know where I got that from.

I've got a 1991 Toyota MR2 prepped for ES (less Hoosiers unfortunately).

You would have seen the car if you were at Day 1 of this year's Stafford RallyX.

If memory serves, the schedule for the DoubleX is such that it will not interfere with competing in both days' autox events, correct?

Would be nice to see more Solo people doing the DoubleCross.  I am sure you would be able to find a ride in a RX vehicle for a ride in your Solo vehicle.  Believe me, you are more likely to hurt their car at the RX than they will hurt your car at the Solo.  Post on the RX list if you want to give this a try, it is great fun, and for a good cause.

Chang is right. Billy and I did this last year and had a blast. Rallyx is great fun and these guys are great drivers, so you don't have to worry about something happening to your autox car (believe me, you the rallyx car takes the beating here). Try it -- great fun!

I'm interested in this as well. I believe I'm now 100% able to make the weekend, barring my car asploding. I didnt see a thread in the rally section about it.

I found this announcement on the main page (http://www.ner.org/announcement/new-england-region-to-host-racing-against-leukemianer-charities-weekend-august-4-5). The only link that seems to be working is http://www.ner.org/solo/ral-from-a-solo-perspective but it does not talk about the Double X event. Not sure how you register for the Double X event.
Anyhow, I'd be happy to share my blue 1990 C4 (pictures at https://www.facebook.com/frogracing and videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/frogracingvideo/videos). Ideal driver size is about 5'11 (racing seat cannot be adjusted). Any RallyX car will do. Note that this is just for fun, my car is not competitive in its class.
Did someone start a similar thread in the RallyX section to find solo drivers?

Did you finally find a partner? I am still looking for someone with a RallyX car to do the DoubleX.

Hi all; I know I'm looking last-minute, but I would also like to team up with someone for the DoubleCross! For the dirty portion of the event we can use the "Mighty Fox", the VW Jetta's little brother from 1990 which has always shown great pace in the Stock Front-wheel-drive class. I'm also willing to enter the JG challenge to get up to speed on a car's traits if that's a possibility (can't hurt to familiarize!). Likewise, the VW would be available for the RallyX Sunday.
