I can't tell from Google maps where the autocrosses are usually run - usually the tyre marks are easily identifiable, but I can't find any.  There look to be concrete pads easily big enough to contain a substantial a/x course, but the runways and taxi ways are clearly tarmac.

Anybody know what surface Loring a/xs usually use ?

Thanks,
Charles - looking for some concrete practice before Nats :-)

I'd say check with the Cumberland Motor Club folks. I've seen on car vidz on yotoob where they use what appears to be the north end of the field - there is pavement and concrete there.

here's an in-car from last year

I haven't seen the course designs for this year, but the courses have typically been long and utilize large portions of both tarmac and concrete surfaces at the extreme north end of the site. It's a hell of a site, and easily the grippiest surface I have ever autocrossed on in the concrete sections.

I can confirm that the courses will be at the north end of the runway complex again this year.  The surface will be a mix of concrete and asphalt.
