who plans to be down there for the TnT on friday?

also what time does the traffic start down in DC?  is it better to get down there before it, or wait till the AM commute is over?

No TnT for the Pros. Just practice starts and the newb walkthroughs. Chris and I will be there for them. I assume Nate/Cliff, Chang/Matt and everyone else going will be there too

We'll be there for the practice starts.

Does anybody have some extra space to bring my rain tires for me? Cliff and I are driving just the race car down. There isn't enough room in the car for everything else if we bring the rains.

thinking about stuff, I realized I have a few contingency forms I need to fill out for pro still, namely hawk pads (yeah im shooting high to collect any money there)
I seem to remember reading that you can turn in contingency forms to the scca truck?  any truth to that?

Scott, yes you can fill all that out and hand it into Cindy in the truck.

Chris, Quag and I are leaving late Thursday and driving to Chris's mom's. I have a end-of-year function at my son's school until probably 7:30 or 8pm, We'll drive to his mom's and get there at 1AM or so. Then drive the 3.5-4 hours to FedEx and get there between noon and 1PM. Else that or I leave at 4AM on Friday and probably hit NY traffic hard. You've done a Pro before, so you don't HAVE to get there early. You could leave Friday morning 8AM and maybe fit in between the NY/Philly/DC traffic and still get there by 2pm, maybe. It all depends on traffic.

Dave, Jenna, and I are leaving late-afternoon'ish to avoid late night driving.  Our plan is to get a good rest at the Red Roof for Friday.

Scott, if you want to caravan with Cliff and I, we've gone back to the original plan and will be leaving early (like 3:30-4am'ish) from Marlborough. The idea is to be on the Garden State Parkway no later then 7am. ETA at FedEx somewhere between 11am and 1pm.

I still am undecided when I am leaving, its try to sleep up here for an extra few hours (very difficult because I get anxious to go), or get down there and sleep in the car (which is easy when you are completely exhausted from a long drive).
Heck, i still dont know what route im taking down there, ive been too busy screwing with the car.

on a different note, how many parking spots are we going to want to reserve together? Tongue
the first person down is gonna have to spread their junk out far and wide

Incidentally, if you can be through NYC by 7am, skip the GSP completely and just get on the NJ Turnpike. It's faster and more direct and tolls aren't terrible without a trailer. Definitely bring a radio that receives AM and listen to the traffic reports on 880 (on the 8s) or 1010 (on the 1s) and adjust your route accordingly.
