EVENT: The Covered Bridge presented by Team O’Neil is actually two events being run on the first weekend of November. On Sunday, 8 November there will be the Covered Bridge RallyCross. All brought to you by and sanctioned by New England Region, Sports Car Club of America (NER, SCCA).
The Covered Bridge Rally is a non-trap, straightforward rally and part of the SCCA National Touring Championship; the NEDiv Championship; and the New England Rally Championship. The Rally will use an instruction format that is designed for beginners, yet challenging to experts. The Rally will travel considerable unpaved back roads [50%+/- of the 160 miles], none of which are car breakers. Some of these roads may not be suitable for all vehicles. The speeds are reasonable for the conditions; however, some people not used to driving on unpaved surfaces may consider them to be on the brisk side. Others who have much experience on unpaved surfaces may consider them to be on the slow side. The Rally will use both manned and unmanned controls.
The Covered Bridge Rally will run a fairly [for CB] tight area with the AM section generally in an are defined by Route 100 to the West; Route 4 to the North; Route 12 to the east; & Route 131 to the south. The PM section generally in an area generally defined by Routes 103, 155, 100, & 11.
CBJR is a shorter version of the Covered Bridge Rally using only the afternoon section [~70miles]. CBJR will start after the regular competitors. CBJR will be a single class event with Class S and Class D combined. No Class A cars or dual entries permitted.
General Notes: 1. Be prepared to run in any weather – sun, rain, or snow.
